A judge in Delaware recently ruled that Google’s web browser tracking system does not pose any harm to online users. Plaintiffs involved in the case stated that Google’s tracking system forces users to be exposed to targeted ads. The judge told the plaintiffs that they had not proved that the ads caused any harm.
According to several news sources Microsoft is currently working on new technology to replace third party cookies. This will definitely impact advertisers who use third party cookies to track web browsing activity.
